Teamworks, the Operating System for Sports™, powers more than 6,500 sports organizations worldwide, including collegiate athletic departments and teams across all major professional leagues. With 400 exceptional employees located in ten different countries, Teamworks’ software solutions drive the operations of the most recognizable sports properties in the world.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join our team and play a key role in solving complex technical challenges. As a technical leader, you will resolve intricate data issues, build scalable solutions, and ensure the seamless operation of our software suite — with a primary focus on our Operations and Personnel products.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about sports tech to contribute to the growth of the fastest-scaling company in the industry.

Game Plan - How You'll Drive Impact:
  • Develop deep expertise in Teamworks’ technical suite, with a focus on understanding the Operations and Personnel products’ data flows and system integrations.
  • Investigate and resolve complex production issues involving large-scale data imports, exports, and mapping — handling datasets of 10,000+ records.
  • Write and execute advanced PostgreSQL queries and Python scripts to resolve data inconsistencies, perform cleanups, and automate recurring workflows.
  • Navigate the Java codebase to diagnose issues and communicate findings to engineering.
  • Serve as a technical bridge between support, product, and engineering teams to drive resolution of critical issues.
  • Build tools and utilities to automate manual tasks and improve system reliability.
  • Manage and prioritize escalated cases with direct impact on business-critical workflows.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentor peers and identify opportunities for process improvements and product enhancements.
Player Profile - What You Bring to the Team:
  • Extensive experience supporting complex SaaS products with a focus on database-driven workflows.
  • Advanced proficiency in PostgreSQL, including complex queries, data manipulation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in writing and modifying scripts for data-related tasks using Python.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to solving data flow challenges.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to resolve customer-impacting issues and improve product stability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in translating technical concepts.

The Ideal Recruit - Skills & Experience:

  • Experience supporting data-intensive products or systems with large-scale imports/exports.
  • Familiarity with campus recruiting workflows or educational institution data systems.
  • Prior exposure to Teamworks products or the athletics industry.
  • Experience building internal tools or utilities to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Familiarity with Java and the ability to navigate existing codebases for context during issue investigation.
Champion Mindset - Traits for Success:
  • Able to analyze and solve problems with urgency and to completion.
  • Friendly and responsive to others’ needs and concerns; relationship-focused with a “how can I help you” attitude.
  • Able to work accurately within established guidelines; relishes handling multiple details quickly, correctly, and efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aligned with our core values: honesty, humility, hard work, commitment, innovation, and exceptionalism.
