We are looking for a proactive and resourceful Senior Financial Accountant to join our accounting team. Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our accounts receivable processes while enhancing our accounting operations. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about contributing to the financial health of a high-growth company.

This role is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to pioneer the next frontier in sports and to contribute to the continued rapid scaling of one of the fastest-growing companies in sports tech.

Game Plan - How You'll Drive Impact:

  • Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation.
  • Oversee the revenue recognition processes specific to SaaS, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, including revenue forecasting to accurately reflect the company’s financial performance.
  • Respond to customer inquiries related to invoices and payments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Analyze overdue receivables to determine collectability and recommend necessary allowances.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations and generate aging reports.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve cash flow and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
  • Serve as the internal point of contact and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Customer Success, on billing and accounting matters.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of scalable accounting processes that enhance operational efficiency and support the company’s growth trajectory.
  • Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and support to meet compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Support year-end financial statement preparation, including drafting note disclosures in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Execute additional tasks as required to support business decisions and operational needs, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to the dynamic demands of the business.

Player Profile - What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in a senior accounting or similar financial role, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment—ideally within SaaS or other high-growth industries.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with accounting software, specifically Sage Intacct and Salesforce, is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with the ability to perform complex data analysis.
  • Proven track record of accuracy and thoroughness in financial record-keeping.

Champion Mindset - Traits for Success:

  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
  • Driven, determined & self-disciplined.
  • Achieves goals efficiently while maintaining high quality and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Displays reliability and adherence to guidelines, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Communicates formally and sincerely, upholding professionalism.
  • Cooperates and supports colleagues while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Adapts to changes with flexibility and a willingness to learn.
  • Aligned with Teamworks' core values: honesty, humility, hard work, commitment, innovation, and exceptionalism.
