About Perry Weather

At Perry Weather, we build technology that helps organizations stay safe, operational, and confident when weather conditions change. From the MLB and top construction companies to thousands of schools, cities, golf courses, and manufacturing sites across the country, our products are used in the moments that matter most. We combine software, integrated hardware, and real-time data into one cohesive system – giving teams the clarity and tools they need to make faster, smarter decisions when lives, assets, and operations are on the line.

About The Role

We're looking for a VP of Product to own the product, design, and commercial strategy that will define Perry Weather's next chapter. Reporting to the COO and sitting on the senior leadership team, this role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, hardware, data, and go-to-market – partnering closely with our Engineering team to turn a category-leading platform into a durable, multi-product business.

This is a builder's role. You'll set the roadmap, own pricing and packaging, ship alongside your team, and be accountable for the commercial outcome of everything we build – not just whether it launches. You'll bring expanded vision to our industry-leading platform and hardware devices, while growing a product organization that scales with the business. If you're the kind of product leader who's equally comfortable in a board-level strategy session and in the weeds on a spec, equally energized by a pricing model and a field install, and who thinks like a General Manager first and a PM second, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial success of the product, not just its delivery. Segmentation, pricing, packaging, monetization, and go-to-market direction are yours. While marketing, sales, and CX lead the execution in close partnership, you’ll be accountable for the business outcome of what ships.

  • Set the roadmap across our three horizons. Deepen our category leadership in real-time alerting, historical analytics and compliance, and meteorological-backed operational forecasting — all with AI insights at the core.

  • Build the data business. Turn our proprietary mesonet, sensor network, operational insights, and forecast intelligence into APIs, packaged data products, and partnerships that open new revenue and new markets across government, insurance, agriculture, energy, and beyond.

  • Bring vision and discipline to hardware. Hardware is core to everything we do and is our biggest opportunity. You don’t need to be a hardware engineer, but you’ll own the product strategy for our 6,000+ connected devices alongside a dedicated hardware PM, SVP of Hardware, and the CTO — and hold the bar for reliability, install/service experience, and how hardware and software work as one system.

  • Lead product across every segment. Support commercial motions across both PLG and enterprise sales. Widen our product offerings across a suite of new weather and alerting categories. Expand into new verticals outside our core markets. Unlock a global footprint in strategic international geographies.

  • Build and lead the product and design organization. Grow and develop the team (product management and product design), set the operating rhythm across our feature and platform pods, and partner with engineering to ship quickly without breaking what already works.

  • Make Perry Weather AI-native. Bring a real point of view on where AI creates durable customer value - in the product and in how our teams build - grounded in systems thinking, not tool lists.

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years in product, including leading product at a B2B SaaS company through a real growth stage – ideally helping carry a business toward (or past) $100M in revenue – owning commercial outcomes, not just a backlog.

  • Strong GM instincts: you can evaluate markets, customers, pricing, packaging, GTM motion, and ROI, and own the number without waiting for someone else to lead the charge.

  • A builder mindset: strategic enough to pick the right bets, hands-on enough to move them yourself, and energized by ambiguity, autonomy, and early-stage ownership. You do the work, not the work around the work.

  • Experience with hardware-enabled, IoT, or operationally complex products – or a software product leader who can credibly own a hardware roadmap alongside a hardware PM and a strong CTO. Bonus for embedded/IoT, environmental sensing, field-deployed, or physical-operations products.

  • Enough technical fluency to partner credibly with engineering and a technical CTO, make architecture-aware tradeoffs, and drive discovery without waiting on someone else.

  • Fluency with AI-enabled workflows and a clear point of view on applying AI to products and go-to-market.

  • A track record of building and developing product and design teams, and setting the cadence and standards that let a team scale.

  • Familiarity with enterprise SaaS/data platforms, weather/geospatial data, or vertical software into physical, traditional, or safety-critical industries (athletics, construction, public sector) is a plus. PE-backed experience is a plus.

Why Perry Weather

  • Weather intelligence is a market in motion. Regulations are tightening, the weather gets more intense every year, and thousands of schools, municipalities, and commercial operators are rethinking how they protect people and reduce operational risk. You’ll shape the products at the center of that shift.

  • Work at the executive level. You’ll be a direct partner to the CTO, COO, CRO, President, and CEO, with real influence over strategy, roadmap, and the company’s path to its next stage of scale.

  • The hardest, most interesting problems in the category. Software, integrated hardware, real-time data, and forecasting all have to work together, in the field, when it matters most. Few product jobs are this end-to-end.

  • The mission is real. Perry Weather exists to make everyone safer outdoors. Every jobsite, high school, and public park is a safer place because of the products you’ll own.

  • Room to build. 80%+ annual growth for five straight years, and the biggest opportunities are still ahead. This is an in-office team in our Oak Lawn (Dallas) office five days a week, because the best building happens shoulder to shoulder.

Benefits

  • You'll want to come into the office. Our Oak Lawn office isn't just a place to sit — it's where ideas move fast and culture stays strong. The whole team is here Monday through Friday, which means real collaboration, no chasing people down over Slack, and a genuinely fun place to spend your work days.

  • Your wellbeing is covered. Competitive health insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, and a full suite of voluntary benefits, because you shouldn't have to think twice about the basics.

  • Good people, good times. Monthly All-Hands, Office Olympics, happy hours, and more. We take the work seriously and the culture seriously too.

  • You're getting in early, and that matters. We're growing fast, but the biggest opportunities are still ahead. The people joining now will help shape what Perry Weather becomes.
