About The Role

G2 is looking for a Senior Editorial & Partnerships Strategist who will lead G2's efforts in sourcing, curating, and producing high-impact thought leadership and guest content that builds our authority in SaaS, tech trends, and B2B ecosystems. This role sits at the intersection of editorial excellence, relationship-building, and strategic content marketing. The ideal candidate has a strong journalistic mindset, exceptional editorial standards, and thrives in developing external contributor relationships while championing G2's brand voice across channels.

This individual will own the end-to-end process of identifying and managing external contributors (both internal experts and external thought leaders), overseeing the editorial process, and ensuring content is aligned with SEO, editorial, and brand best practices. This position is based in Bengaluru and requires in-office attendance for at least 2 day in a week

In This Role, You Will:

  • Editorial Oversight & Execution

    • Serve as the primary editor for all externally sourced content, ensuring alignment with G2's editorial standards, brand voice, and SEO best practices.

    • Conduct thorough developmental edits for accuracy, clarity, structure, and value tailored to G2’s audiences.

    • Train and coach contributors on editorial expectations, content guidelines, and writing best practices.

    • Manage communication with customers and prospects throughout the content creation process to help refine and align their drafts with G2’s standards.

    • Conduct video or written interviews with executives and thought leaders when needed.

    • Write occasional original content that reflects G2’s leadership and insights on key industry trends.

  • Editorial Standards & Governance

    • Maintain and continually evolve G2’s editorial and SEO style guides.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content adheres to compliance, brand, and editorial standards.

    • Serve as the quality gatekeeper for brand voice, factual accuracy, and journalistic integrity across externally sourced content.

  • Sourcing & Relationship Management

    • Source, pitch, and secure external contributors for G2’s blog, publications, and thought leadership content.

    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry experts, SaaS founders, influencers, and analysts to enrich G2 content with diverse and authoritative voices.

    • Partner with Sales to identify customer advocates for guest contributions and manage the full contributor experience.

    • Attend industry events (virtual and in-person) to network with prospective contributors and thought leaders.

  • Content Planning & Strategy

    • Develop and manage a forward-looking editorial calendar focused on thought leadership, industry trends, and external contributions.

    • Identify emerging topics and SaaS trends that present timely content opportunities.

    • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Product Marketing, SEO, PR, Sales, and Leadership to align editorial strategy with business objectives.

  • Analytics & Optimization

    • Monitor content performance metrics such as organic traffic, engagement rates, return visits, and newsletter open rates to assess effectiveness.

    • Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Semrush, Ahrefs, Search Console) to extract insights that guide ongoing topic development and editorial refinement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in editorial, journalism, or content marketing with a strong emphasis on external contributor management and thought leadership.

  • 2+ years SaaS or B2B tech experience strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, build relationships with, and manage external contributors.

  • Exceptional editing, writing, and interviewing skills with advanced command of AP Style, grammar, syntax, and journalistic standards.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to independently manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills for managing contributors, internal teams, and executive stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with content management systems (HubSpot preferred), email marketing platforms (Iterable preferred), and SEO/performance tools (Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Google Search Console).

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
