The Role

Technical Analysts facilitate the deployment of technical components to a client’s site during the implementation phase by working in close coordination with the client, implementation team, and deployment team. As a Technical Analyst, you will take responsibility for identifying business requirements related to technical components (GIS, CAD, data migration, etc.), gathering information and resources related to the implementation, and testing/verifying the functionality/integrity of each deployed component. Throughout the process, clear and concise documentation should allow all members of the team to track progress and estimated completion of each component.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with client and implementation team to identify business and functional requirements
  • Analyze limitations/gaps between business requirements and technical functionality
  • Translate business and functional requirements into technical requirements
  • Manage updates/changes to business and functional requirements and adjust priorities accordingly
  • Maintain communication with all stakeholders internal and external
  • Serve as a technical resource internally and with clients
  • Provide guidance to the deployment team
  • Guide clients through business decisions using industry best practices and/or data rationalized analysis
  • Test functionality/integrity of technical components
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing if identified through requirement gathering

Requirements & Qualifications

  • This is a remote role, but the employee must live in the US
  • Experience explaining technical processes in simple terms
  • Experience analyzing multiple scenarios and choosing optimal outcomes
  • Demonstrable experience-guided decision-making with documented rationalizations
  • Some knowledge of the Fire/EMS industry
  • Experience with expanding boundaries related to business and technical limitations
  • Demonstrable organizational and time management skills
  • Intermediate to mastery level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of delimited data files, structured data files, and file transport methods
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of relational data structures (databases)
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of GIS components and web services
