Job Description

This is a remote position.

First Due is looking for a driven and passionate Communications and Content Manager to enable all of our customers. As part of the Client Success Team, this role owns user-enablement communications including product release announcements, system alerts, critical notifications, and customer email campaigns. You will ensure that first responders receive accurate, actionable information—when it matters most—while maintaining a consistent voice aligned with First Due’s commitment to public safety. This role requires a strong communicator who understands the urgency, professionalism, and clarity required when supporting emergency services organizations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and execute First Due’s client-facing communications strategy to users.
  • Create, manage, and distribute user-enabled communications including product releases, feature announcements, and platform updates.
  • Draft and deliver critical alerts and system notifications with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Develop and manage ongoing customer email campaigns, newsletters, and targeted communications.
  • Translate technical product updates into clear, actionable messaging for first responder audiences.
  • Manage communication schedules, content calendars, and send cadence across multiple channels.
  • Segment audiences to ensure relevant messaging reaches the appropriate users and roles.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Support, Training, Sales, and Marketing teams to align messaging and timing.
  • Ensure all communications maintain consistent tone, branding, and alignment with First Due’s mission.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and user feedback to continuously optimize communication effectiveness.
  • Serve as the internal subject-matter expert for client communications and content standards.
  • Represent the voice of first responders by ensuring communications support operational readiness and customer success.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience working with or supporting Public Safety agencies.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications, content management, customer communications, or related roles.
  • Exceptional written communication and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience managing customer-facing email campaigns and large-scale communications.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, concise messaging.
