This is a remote position.
First Due is searching for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. As a Senior Accountant at First Due, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. You will manage essential accounting functions, support financial close processes, and contribute to the success of our high-growth company.
Key Responsibilities:
· Accounting Operations: Record and manage daily accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies to maintain accurate financial records.
· Account Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations for key accounts, including accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, etc. to support financial accuracy and integrity.
· Financial Close Support: Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including general ledger review, variance analysis, and preparation of adjusting journal entries.
· Revenue and Expense Tracking: Collaborate with internal teams to track and analyze financial metrics, ensuring proper allocation of revenue and expenses.
· Billing and Collections: Oversee customer invoicing and improving customer collections processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments while addressing discrepancies effectively.
· Audit and Compliance Preparation: Assist with preparing schedules and documentation for internal and external audits, as well as tax filings, ensuring full compliance.
· Data Integrity: Maintain organized, updated records of contracts, certifications, and compliance documents to support reporting and regulatory needs.
· Process Improvement: Identify and propose enhancements to accounting and finance processes to improve efficiency and adaptability as the business scales.

Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in accounting, finance, or related roles; experience in a tech or SaaS environment is a plus.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting systems (NetSuite is a plus) and Microsoft Excel.
· Analytical Abilities: Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets and provide actionable insights.
· Knowledge Base: Familiarity with GAAP, financial compliance, and tax regulations. Track record in evaluating financial implications of organizational restructuring, expansion, and complex financial transactions.
· Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in cross-functional teams.
· Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic tech environment, with a readiness to handle multiple priorities.
· Communication: Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills; experience presenting financial data to stakeholders is a bonus.
